Returns and Refunds Policy

Thank you for shopping with Instead Of Bread UK. We take pride in offering high-quality, innovative food products such as Broghies and Sweet Freedom syrups and spreads. To ensure the safety and satisfaction of all our customers, please read our returns and refunds policy carefully.

Returns

Due to the nature of our products, which are food items, we are unable to accept returns once the seals or packaging have been opened. This is to maintain food safety and hygiene standards.

If you receive a product that is still sealed and in its original packaging, and you wish to return it, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to arrange the return. The product must be unopened and in a resalable condition.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Opened Broghies, syrups, or spreads
  • Products where the packaging seal has been broken
  • Returns based on a change of mind or dislike of the product

Damages & Issues:

  • Inspection: Check your order upon delivery.

  • How can customers return products? By mail or In store
  • How will customers get the return label? Download/Print

  • What is the restocking fee? No fees

Refunds

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if you receive faulty or damaged goods, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement. Please notify us immediately upon receipt if your product is faulty or damaged.

Refunds will be processed once the returned goods are received and inspected. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the returned item.

Please note:

  • We cannot offer refunds for broken Broghies caused by transit, as they remain edible.
  • Refunds do not include shipping or processing fees.
  • If a parcel is lost in transit, we will investigate and either resend the order (postage at your expense) or refund the cost of the goods only.

Cancellation Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, provided the products are unopened and in their original packaging. You must notify us in writing within this period to cancel your order and then return the goods within 14 days of cancellation notification.

Important Notes

  • Broghies are fragile dried food products and may break in transit. Broken Broghies are still safe to eat, and we do not offer refunds or returns for breakage.
  • Syrups and spreads are carefully packaged to prevent damage. If you receive a damaged bottle (excluding small dents caused by shipping), please contact us immediately.
  • We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet the above criteria.
